Reminder...The 5th graders will be watching a movie on Friday, December 20th. Please allow your 5th grader to bring a pillow, drink, and snack to enjoy.

Mrs. Haugen and I had a great time at the technology conference on Monday and Tuesday. I am happy to be back with the students today, though. Please remind your child, that in order to watch the film on Friday they must have all missing work done and turned in. I will give them their final reminder tomorrow. Have a great night!

Next Week:
Math: We will be reviewing section C, algebra concepts, and quizzing over them. Wednesday will
be a chapter review and Thursday we will be unit testing.
Science: We will be reviewing all of chapter 3 and testing on Wednesday. Thursday will be spent on a
fun surprise topic!!
Reminder...Next Friday we will be kicking off the holiday break with a fun day of activities. The students
will spend one hour per teacher in the morning. In the afternoon, we will be watching a movie
as our class party. The children know that in order to attend the afternoon movie, they can have
no missing work in my room. Please encourage your child to get all work completed and turned
in prior to Friday of next week!

Reminder...Next Friday, we will be kicking off the holiday break in each classroom with a craft during the morning. In the afternoon, the students will be watching a movie as their class party. I have informed the students, that if they are to participate in the afternoon movie, all math and science work must be done and turned in. All zeroes must be replaced with corrected work to be included in the movie. I shared with every child today what if anything they currently have missing. This gives everyone a full week to make up any necessary work. Thank you in advance for your support in encouraging your child to complete all required work before play!
Also...I will be sending another grade report home next Friday. Please remember, your child can make corrections to any daily assignments in both math and science. They will have two weeks upon returning from the holiday break to improve their grades and deepen their learning before semester grades are recorded.

Reminder...the students will be bowling next Monday and Tuesday.

Math: We will continue with algebra, problem solving with algebraic expressions, finding rules with in
and out charts, and solving equations!
Science: We will be finishing, reviewing, and quizzing lesson 3! The quiz will be near the end of the
week. We will then begin reviewing for the large chapter 3 test. That test will be the week
before Christmas break.
