Math: Corrections to P3-8 through P3-11
Science: None
Next Week:
Math: We will review and quiz on division concepts in section B of chapter 3 on Monday and Tuesday.
We will then jump into division in chapter 4 starting with dividing by multiples of 10 and dividing
whole numbers by two-digit divisors!
Science: We will finish our "Changing States of Matter" experiment and dive into lesson 2. This lesson
covers changes in state, solid, liquid, gas, evaporation, condensation, melting and boiling points!

Help, Please! We are running really, really low on dry erase markers. We use them almost every day, and we only have about 20 that still work. If you could donate some dry erase markers to our class, the kids and I would greatly appreciate it! (We could also use more old, clean socks to use as erasers!)
Homework:
Math: P3-6 #9-#12 AND PS3-6 #1-#5
Science: Questions #1 - #3 on the lesson worksheet
Have a great night!

Next Week:
Math: We will be focusing our attention on division and working out of both chapters 3 and 4. We will
be skipping around, so don't be alarmed if you see worksheets coming home out of order for the
next few weeks. Next week we will specifically work on dividing whole numbers, dividing with
zeros in the quotient, and dividing larger dividends.
Science: Our physical science unit was kicked off today with an experiment focusing on physical
properties. We will work through lesson 1 focusing on key terms such as matter, physical
properties, mass, weight, volume, density, and solubility.

It was great to see the children after a nice winter break! We have about two weeks until the end of the semester.
Homework:

This week:
Math: We began work on division today. This will be a combination of lessons from chapters 3 and 4.
Ask your child how the words share and fair connect to division!
Science: We started discussing matter and physical properties today. This begins our journey into a unit
about physical science! Ask your child to describe characteristics of an object in your home.
Ask them how those descriptive words would change or stay the same if you altered the
object (for example, by burning it)!
Have a great night!
