Parents:  I want to put out a quick note about the math.  I realize some of the students and you as parents are frustrated with the "new" math.  Please do your best to be patient and realize that any change requires time to work out the kinks.  Since it is so early in the school year, we need to give ourselves time to adjust.  My suggestion at home is this:  Spend a few minutes only per problem, write something down that shows you have attempted it, and move on.  I will work with the kids here at school to correct things.  Don't let it turn into tears, anger, or frustration for any of you at home.  Also, if you get in a real bind, you may call me at home for help.  My number is 641-923-3409.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call me to discuss them.  I am here to help!  Thank you for your support of your child and their education!!
