Reminder:  We take a field trip next Tuesday to Des Moines.  Lunch is provided by Hy-Vee, but your child is welcome to bring a snack along if they would like! 

**Attention**  Please ask you child for the note that was sent home today giving you information about our community service project.  Please send a kitchen broom to school with your child next Wednesday!

Homework:

     Math:  PS8-1

     Science:  Read "Ice Age Death Trap" in your Scholastic News and answer all packet and magazine 
                    questions that go with it

Next Week:

     Math:  We will be working on adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators and least 
                common multiples.  I am hoping that we can review by the end of the week and quiz early next
                week.

     Science:  We will be starting lesson 2 which is about forces that act together.  Concepts we will be 
                    covering in this lesson are balanced forces, unbalanced forces, acceleration, and net force.
